Brand contact lenses Wearers, Swear By These Makeup Tips

Even though I haven't had a one-on-one interaction with brand contact lenses, I known women who have a pretty hard time befriending makeup, thanks to lenses. The fact that even a little product could irritate the eyes doesn’t help. Plus, you could have to say buh-bye to your pricey lenses sooner than usual. So, here’s a list of all the things that you need to keep in mind to perfect the balancing act between makeup and lenses.

- First of all, ensure that your hands are perfectly clean before you begin with your makeup routine. Though this instruction is something that you might already be familiar with, you need to be doubly sure when makeup products enter the scenario.
- You may be in love with tight-lining but keep that to a bare minimum, girls. Tight-lining involves using a kohl pencil or eyeliner along the lid ledge, which is the area that comes in NEO colored contacts lenses with the eyeballs. Blocking those glands can lead to dry eyes and that’s no less than a nightmare for anyone who uses blue contacts.
- Though clumpy mascara is a no-no in every situation, women wearing contact lenses should be extra careful about it. Using a dried mascara tube will eventually lead to discomfort and infection.
- Go for oil-free products, at least for your eye makeup ‘coz sometimes the oil-base of these products can seep into your peepers and mess with your lenses.
- Have a fetish for pretty falsies? However, we’d advise you to stay away from false eyelashes since there is a fair chance of getting the glue on your lens. Yikes!
- The correct order should be wear your lenses before beginning your makeup routine. The same goes for the process of removal.
- Be very careful when handling translucent or powder-based products, especially on the area around your eyes. Probably this is your cue to shift base to cream-based makeup products.
- Another common lens-care point that holds more importance for makeup enthusiasts – along with religiously removing your makeup at night, also clean your lenses and their case on a regular basis.
Contact lenses may seem like a barrier in your makeup routine, but once you begin following these tips, it will no longer be the reason of makeup that’s not on point!
